"Said Hello!" is the debut album from The New Loutonians, a band of five fellows with deeply interwoven stories, originating from Melbourne's eastern suburbs, and growing up on a steady dose of all ages gigs at Croydon's then thriving EV's Youth Centre. Growing up in the line of fire from Ian MacKaye's flying spittle, mixed along the way with exposure to Neil Young's enigmatic story telling and visceral guitar playing, the band picks up a swathe of influences from a diverse span of time and genres.

Formed originally by twin brothers Murray and Evan Lorden - with schoolmates Chris Nealon and Luke Gerard completing the ensemble early on - The New Loutonians cult lifestyle band culminates from fifteen years of musical history together, exploring guitars, home recording, and a naïve lyrical thrust - residual also from teenagehood, revitalized in this latest incarnation by drummer Damian Wensing (formerly with Brothers Grim and the Blue Murders) who joined in 2010 to kick things up a notch. |

The album was recorded independently by the band between 2008 and 2009 at the Lorden family home in Park Orchards, and it's finally ready to go!
